Validation means confirming that real humans will pay real money for what you want to build. Not “that sounds cool” validation. Not “I’d definitely use that” validation. Money validation.

Two caveats. First, “weekend” assumes you’re already comfortable with Next.js and the tools above. If you need to learn them, add a week or two. Step 5: Pricing Strategy
Pricing is where indie hackers consistently leave money on the table. Here are the rules:
Charge from day one. Free tiers attract tire-kickers, not customers. If your product solves a real problem, people will pay for it. Offer a free trial (7-14 days), not a permanent free tier.
Price based on value, not cost. If your AI tool saves a contractor 5 hours per week on proposals, and their time is worth $75/hour, you’re saving them $375/week. Charging $49/month is a steal. Don’t price based on your API costs — price based on the pain you eliminate.
Keep it simple at first. Two tiers, max. A basic plan and a pro plan. You can add complexity later when you understand your users better.
